NDSU Women’s Golf Finishes Tied for Sixth Place at Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – Madi Hicks recorded her first top five finish as the North Dakota State women's golf team finished tied for sixth place at the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club on Wednesday afternoon.
Hicks strung together rounds of 72, a career-low 69 and 74 for a three-round career-low of 215 to finish tied for fifth place to pace the Bison. She was even on 15-of-18 holes and posted three bogeys to card a +3 on the par 71 course in the final round.
Catherine Monty (76-76-72--224) notched her third top 25 finish of the season coming in tied for 24th place after tying a career-low three-round total of 224. She was even on 11 holes and notched three birdies in the final round to finish +1.
Elise Hoven (81-73-74--228) finished tied for 32nd place, while Leah Skaar (73-79-78--230) was slotted tied for 39th place. Jo Baranczyk (81-76-78--235) closed out the group tied for 57th place.
As a team, NDSU assembled rounds of 302, 294 and 298 for a three-round total of 894 to finish tied for sixth place in the 17-team tournament. James Madison (285-286-294--865) won the tournament 17 strokes ahead of second place UNC Greensboro (292-297-293--882).
The average score over three rounds of play was 76.83.
NDSU will be back in action at the Stampede at the Creek on April 10-11 in Omaha, Neb., at Indian Creek Golf Course.
