NDSU Women’s Golf Set for Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's golf team continues its season with the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational in Tacoma, Wash., on Monday and Tuesday.
Tournament Schedule
The 54-hole tournament will start on Monday with 36 holes beginning with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. CT before wrapping up on Tuesday with a 10:00 a.m. CT shotgun start. Live statistics can be found here.
The Field
There will be 22 teams competing in the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational which will square off at Tacoma Country Club. Along with the Bison, the field includes Seattle, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Fullerton, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Hawaii, Houston Christian, Idaho, Montana State, Nevada, North Dakota, Portland State, Santa Clara, Sacred Heart, South Dakota, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, Weber State and Wyoming.
The Course
The Tacoma Country and Golf Club, located in Tacoma, Washington, is an exclusive golf course and country club. Established in 1894, it holds the distinction of being the first golf course in the Western United States outside of a military reservation (preceded only by the Mare Island course, which opened in 1892). This club also proudly claims the title of the longest-running golf club in the Western region, with uninterrupted operations since its inception. The course features an 18-hole championship golf course that stretches beyond 6,900 yards from the back tees.
The Lineup
North Dakota State will have five golfers competing at the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational: Elise Hoven, Madi Hicks, Norah Roberts, Leah Skaar and Catherine Monty.
Last Time Out
At the Couer d'Alene Resort Invitational in Idaho, Elise Hoven fired a career-low 54-hole total of 211 to finish in fourth place. The Grafton, Wis., native tied a career-low 69 in round three after recording four birdies. It marked her fourth career top-five finish. Additionally, her 54-hole total of 211 ranks tied for the third lowest in NDSU history. The Bison posted a seventh place finish as a team in the 13-team tournament.
Roster at a Glance
- The roster features seven returning players, including three seniors: Catherine Monty, Leah Skaar, and Ava Wallerich.
- Norah Roberts is the only freshman on the roster and has appeared in all three tournaments this season.
History at Utah
The Bison made history at the Timpanogos Collegiate Invitational. The 54-hole total of 860 ranked for the lowest total in NDSU history which was 872 set at the Summit League Championship on April 25, 2023. The third-round total of 280 is now the lowest in program history, beating the original 284, which was set on Sept. 11, 2017, at the Battle at Old Works. Bison golfers, Madi Hicks and Cora Larson both fired career-low 54-hole totals. Hicks with a final score of 212 and Larson with 215.

The Bison will be back in action at the Loyola Parkinson Family Invitational in Libertyville, Ill., on Oct. 9-10.
