NDSU Soccer Adds Three to 2024 Signee Class

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State soccer coach Mike Regan announced the addition of Bella Washington, Sarah Horn and Sophie Horn to the 2024 signee class on Friday. Washington will join the Bison from Iowa Western Community College. The Horn twins will join the Bison from Heimsheim, Germany.
 
Washington, an NJCAA All-American goalkeeper, led Iowa Western to an undefeated national championship season this fall and did not allow a goal during the postseason, including four games at the national championships. This season, Washington, an Omaha, Nebraska native, allowed just three goals in 17 games, posting a goals against average of 0.19 with a .940 save percentage.
 
Over 30 career games and nearly 2400 minutes at Iowa Western, Washington allowed nine total goals, a goals against average of 0.34, with 67 saves for a .882 save percentage. She posted a 20-0-0 career record, with 14 solo shutouts and five combined shutouts. She led Iowa Western to back-to-back national championships.
 
Washington, the daughter of Nikki and Travis, graduated from Marian High School in Omaha. Travis played collegiately at Kansas and Omaha. Washington also has three sisters; Mazie, Rylie and Cleo. Washington intends on majoring in Psychology at North Dakota State.
 
Sarah and Sophie Horn are currently playing for the FV 09 Niefern women's team in the German Oberliga, where Sophie plays primarily as a left back and Sarah plays as a winger and forward. The duo moved to FV 09 Niefern from FV Löchgau, where they played for two seasons for the U 17 club. Sarah scored 32 goals and recorded 21 assists, while Sophie anchored the back line, and the duo helped the club to a high finish in the oberliga with 45 points in 22 games.
 
The Horns also attend the Akademie fuer Kommunikation in Stuttgart, where each has received a commendation for their work in the classroom. Sarah also competed as the only girl on the boy's rugby team for her high school club, while Sophie helped lead her indoor team to a title in 2023.
 
Sarah and Sophie are the daughters of Zsolt Horn and they have one brother, Niklas. Sarah and Sophie intend on majoring in Sport Management at North Dakota State.
 
With the three signings, the NDSU soccer 2024 signee class grows to eight, joining Reese Berge, Milla Klostermann, Avery Olmstead, Emerson Perrin and Morgan Russman, who signed on signing day in November.
