GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's track & field team registered a number of impressive performances at the UND Open in Grand Forks on Saturday.
Junior
Logan Mathieu won the 60m dash in 6.86, and he was second in the 60m hurdles final in 8.06. He is now tied for ninth-fastest in NDSU history in the 60m dash.
Sophomore
Kaden Pastian won the weight throw with a throw of 62-06.50 (19.06m).
Cam Landis and Pastian finished 1-2 in the shot put, with Landis winning at 56-10.25 (17.33m) and Pastian the runner-up at 56-09.25 (17.30m).
Jacob Van Dusseldorp won the pole vault, clearing 15-05.00 (4.70m).
Sophomore
Cullen Curl ran an indoor 400m personal-best and Summit League-leading time of 48.06 to take third place. Redshirt freshman
Carter Elde placed fourth in a personal-best 48.24, and
Khamarly Holmes was fifth in an indoor PR 48.80.
Unattached Bison Jayden Murdock ran 22.05 in the 200m dash for the fastest time by a Bison this season.
Freshman
Jayden Williams took second in the long jump with a mark of 22-11.25 (6.99m). Freshman
Michael Haugo was fourth at 22-08.50 (6.92m).
Redshirt freshman
Lorenzo Andrews finished fourth in the triple jump with a season-best 45-08.50 (13.93m). Freshman
Jack Packer placed fourth in both the shot put and weight throw with season-best marks in each.
NDSU will compete at home next week, with the Bison Open being held on Feb. 2-3.
