Three Bison Stats Perform All-Americans; Brown and Empey on Freshman Team

FARGO, N.D. - North Dakota State left tackle Grey Zabel, quarterback Cam Miller and defensive tackle Eli Mostaert were named to the Stats Perform FCS All-America first team announced Wednesday, Dec. 18.

NDSU running back CharMar Brown, previously named the Jerry Rice Award winner as the top freshman player in the FCS, was named to the Stats Perform FCS Freshman All-America Team along with Bison offensive guard Griffin Empey.

Miller remains one of three finalists for the Walter Payton Award, presented to the top offensive player in the FCS. The other finalists, also on the All-America first team, are Montana State quarterback Tommy Mellott and Southern Utah running back Targhee Lambson.

No. 2 seed North Dakota State (12-2) hosts No. 3 seed South Dakota State (12-2) in the semifinals of the NCAA Division I Football Championship at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.
