BROOKINGS, S.D. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team opened the 2025 indoor season with several athletes competing at the SDSU Holiday Open on Friday.

The Bison women swept the top three places in the 200m dash, with freshman
Elise Wisnewski winning in her collegiate debut with a time of 24.53 to rank ninth on the NDSU all-time list.
Riika Tirkkonen took second in 25.01, and
Jasmine Williams was third in 25.12.

Allie Niska ran 38.73 in the 300m dash, taking second place in the meet and ranking fourth-fastest in NDSU history.
Reese Rogowski took fifth place in 40.32.

Bison sophomore
Anika Larson took second in the 60m dash, running 7.51 in the prelims and 7.53 in the final.

Sydney Arndt was the runner-up in the 60m hurdles, clocking 8.54.
Marvelous Onwualo was fifth in 8.70, and freshman
Aizlynn Krafka took sixth in 8.80.

Merrideth Spiers took second in the weight throw, throwing 64-02.25 (19.56m) for the second-best mark of her career. In her return after missing the 2024 season due to injury,
Adison Kapitzke threw 47-01.00 (14.35m) in the shot put, placing second in the meet.

A pair of Bison freshmen clocked 2:17 in the 800m, with
Carsyn Brady third in 2:17.22 and
Madison Johnson sixth in 2:17.61.
