Bison Women’s Track & Field Claims 29th Summit League Team Title in 32 Tries

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team won its 15th title in 17 years at the Summit League Indoor Championships on Saturday, taking care of business at home in the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track & Field Facility on campus.
 
Combined with 14 outdoor team titles, the NDSU women have now won 29 out of 32 team conference championships since joining The Summit League in 2008.
 
The Bison women captured five first-place finishes on the final day of the meet. NDSU finished with 203.5 points -- its most at the conference indoor meet since 2021. South Dakota came in second with 192.5 points.
 
Salmata Korgho won the 60m hurdles title in a meet record, facility record, and personal-best 8.28 – the second-fastest time in NDSU history.
 
Kendra Kelley brought home the 200m dash title in a facility record 23.59 for the first individual conference championship of her career. After the time conversion for being run on a 200m flat track, Kelley's performance ranks her 30th in the NCAA this season.
 
Nell Graham claimed the 400m dash title in 53.82 for a new facility record.
 
On her final attempt, Grace Emineth hit a huge personal-best of 41-07.75 (12.69m) to win the Summit League triple jump title, ranking third in NDSU history.
 
Freshman Arienne Birch won the high jump, clearing 5-08.50 (1.74m). Birch was named the Newcomer of the Championships as the top freshman.
 
Kelley, Bailee Dierks, Kaci Cooper and Graham took second in the 4x400m relay in 3:42.81 – under the previous meet and facility records.
 
The Bison women finished 1-3-4-7 in the triple jump behind Emineth's clutch victory. Freshman Joy Nnantah was third with a personal-best 39-10.75 (12.16m), and Makenna Vollmer was fourth with the same mark, also a personal-best. Freshman Ella Gardner finished seventh.
 
NDSU women went 1-3-5-8 in the 60m hurdles final. Freshman Marvelous Onwualo placed third in a personal-best 8.46, tying her for fifth-fastest in school history. Sydney Arndt took fifth place.
 
Bison women finished 2-3-6-7 in the 60m dash final, led by Ilise Jennings in 7.49 and Kelley in 7.50.
 
Allie Niska (55.72) was fifth in the 400m dash behind Graham, and Cooper took seventh.
 
Brita Birkeland and Kate LeBlanc finished 2-3 in the 800m final. Grace Link took third in the mile in 4:48.16, and Reagan Baesler was fourth in a personal-best 4:50.15.
 
Freshman Anika Larson placed fourth in the 200m in a personal-best 24.55 and finished sixth in the 60m. Graham added a sixth-place finish in the 200m to her busy weekend.
 
Freshman Logan Harz placed fourth in the 5,000m, running 17:13.44 to rank 11th in school history.
 
Redshirt freshman Riley Quinn placed fifth in the shot put, throwing 45-05.75 (13.86m).
