NDSU Women’s Basketball to Host Montana in WNIT on Monday

FARGO, N.D. – After earning a first-round bye in the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), the North Dakota State women's basketball team will host Montana on Monday, the organization announced on Friday morning.

The Bison (21-11) will host Montana (23-9) on Monday night at Scheels Center at 7:00 p.m. CT. The contest will be free admission with general admission seating.

It will be the fifth all-time meeting between NDSU and Montana dating back to 1977 with series locked, 2-2. The Bison picked up 65-63 win at Montana in the season opener last season.

NDSU earned their most wins since 2004-05 and advanced to the championship game at the Summit League Tournament for the first time in program history earlier this season. This will be the second straight and second overall appearance for NDSU in the WNIT after the Bison made their debut last season at Oregon before falling in the first round.

NDSU was one of three Summit League schools selected to the 48-team field. Oral Roberts (21-10) and South Dakota (21-12) also each earned a spot. All three were at-large qualifiers.
