FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's track & field team hosted the NDSU Tune-Up on Friday for the team's final competition before the Summit League Outdoor Championships next week.
Freshman
Michael Haugo moved up to No. 5 in NDSU outdoor history in the long jump, setting a new personal-best of 24-10.00 (7.57m) to win the event. That mark ranks him 71st on the NCAA performance list this season.
Bison junior
Brock Johnsen won the 110m hurdles in a personal-best 14.25, climbing to No. 8 all-time at NDSU.
Logan Mathieu ran a 110m hurdles personal-best of 14.37, falling just outside the NDSU Top 10.
Freshman
Jayden Williams won the 100m dash in a wind-aided 10.45 (+5.5 m/s).
Gabe Miles ran 10.79 for fourth place.
Cullen Curl (third) and Miles (fourth) both ran season-bests of 21.90 in the 200m dash.
Senior
Payton Smith won the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 9:14.34.
Senior
Cam Landis won the shot put with a throw of 55-04.25 (16.87m), and freshman
Jack Packer took third at 49-11.25 (15.22m).
Competing unattached, Bison freshman
Adam Dugger hit 48-07.50 (14.82m) in the triple jump.
Unattached Bison athletes
Kaden Pastian won the discus (173-9 / 52.97m) and
Zach McGlynn won the high jump (6-09.50 / 2.07m).
The Summit League Outdoor Championships will be held in St. Paul, Minn., on May 9-11.
