Bison Women Tune Up with Final Home Meet

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team hosted the NDSU Tune-Up on Friday for the team's final competition before the Summit League Outdoor Championships next week.
NDSU sophomore Riley Quinn won both the discus and shot put, throwing a personal-best 149-9 (45.64m) in the discus and 46-01.25 (14.05m) in the shot put.
Senior Salmata Korgho won the 100m hurdles in 13.46, and senior Bailee Dierks was second in 13.51. They both tied their personal-bests that rank third and fourth in NDSU history.
Freshman Joy Nnantah claimed the triple jump title with a leap of 39-06.50 (12.05m), and Grace VanErp took third with a personal-best jump of 38-10.50 (11.85m). Makenna Vollmer won the long jump with a mark of 19-10.25 (6.05m).
NDSU freshman Arienne Birch won the high jump with a clearance of 5-07.75 (1.72m). Sophomore Tay Rude cleared a personal-best 5-05.75 (1.67m).
Freshman Anika Larson won the 200m dash in 24.21, and Allie Niska was second in 24.45.
Freshman Reese Rogowski captured first in the 400m dash in 57.99. Brita Birkeland ran a personal-best 58.34 for second place.
Kaci Cooper won the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.18.
The Summit League Outdoor Championships will be held in St. Paul, Minn., on May 9-11.
