NDSU Track & Field to Host Bison Open this Friday & Saturday

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's and men's track & field teams will host the Bison Open this Friday, Feb. 7, and Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track & Field Facility on campus.
Friday's competition begins with the men's heptathlon at 12 p.m. and the women's pentathlon at 12:30 p.m. The weight throw is scheduled for Friday, with the men starting at 1 p.m. and the women to follow, as well as the women's pole vault at 3 p.m. Friday's running events get underway at 3:30 p.m.
On Saturday, the heptathlon resumes at 11 a.m. Field events begin with the long jump, high jump and shot put at 2 p.m., and track events start at 2:30 p.m.
The schedule of events is subject to change and will be finalized following the entry process for the meet.
Early-season Summit League leaders for the Bison women include Arienne Birch (high jump), Ella Gardner (long jump), Nyariek Kur (triple jump), and the Bison 4x400m relay.
The NDSU men currently lead The Summit League in three events, with Adam Dugger (triple jump), Bryce Enerson (heptathlon), and Michael Haugo and Jayden Williams sharing the top spot in the long jump.
