FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State baseball team scored all four runs over the final four innings before falling short against Northern Colorado, 6-4, in the series finale on Saturday afternoon at Newman Outdoor Field.
Northern Colorado (13-24, 6-12 Summit) opened up a 6-0 lead in the fifth with an RBI ground out off the bat of Carter Monda. Alex Urlaub answered for the Bison (13-22, 10-7 Summit) in the sixth inning with a two RBI single into right field to cut the deficit to 6-2. Blake Timmons continued the momentum into the eighth after he delivered an RBI single up the middle to make the score 6-3.
The Bison continued to apply pressure in the ninth inning with a pair of walks from Davis Hamilton and Colten Becker.
