Gherardi, Skistad, Rypkema, Harz Post New NDSU Top 10 Marks on Friday

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team competed at three meets on Friday, with several of the top performances coming at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational hosted by Liberty University.
Bison senior Julia Gherardi cleared 13-03.50 (4.05m) in the pole vault at Liberty – a new indoor personal-best that ties her for sixth in school history.
Freshman Kaela Skistad ran a season-best 54.58 in the invitational 400m to tie for seventh-fastest in NDSU indoor history.
Anika Larson (7.44) and Paige Renschler (7.48) both qualified for the 60m dash final.
Jordyn Davis (8.49) and Marvelous Onwualo (8.58) both advanced to the 60m hurdles final. Yolanda Nabwe clocked a personal-best 8.73 in the semifinals of the 60m hurdles.
Soraya Espino placed third in the 400m dash in 56.05, and Kendal Stingle was fifth in a personal-best 56.24.
At the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn., Jade Rypkema ran 16:55.60 in the 5,000m to rank seventh in NDSU indoor history. Logan Harz recorded an indoor 5,000m PR of 16:58.07 to rank eighth on the NDSU all-time list, and Mia Hoffmann ran 17:10.19 to stand 11th in school history.
Arienne Birch cleared 5-8 (1.73m) to place fourth in the high jump.
At the SDSU Indoor Classic in Brookings, S.D., Riley Quinn won the shot put with a throw of 48-08.00 (14.83m). Grace Steffen was the runner-up in the weight throw with a mark of 59-02.75 (18.05m).
Corene Moeller ran a personal-best 2:13.83 in the 800m at SDSU.
Competition will continue Saturday.
