IRVING, Texas – North Dakota State wrestler Devin Wasley has been named the final Big 12 Wrestler of the Week for the 2025-26 season, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
Wasley picked up his second Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honor this season after helping to lead NDSU to victory over No. 19 South Dakota State on Sunday with an upset of #4/5 Bennett Berge, winning 9-5.
 
After giving up the initial takedown, Wasley rebounded with a pair of escapes and a penalty point to tie the dual. The junior then secured the next two takedowns, including a ride out to end the second period before another in the third to take the lead 9-3 and flip the script late in the dual.
 
It is the highest ranked win in Wasley's career, as he reached his 20th win of the year and improved to 7-1 in Big 12 duals this season.
 
It marks the first time in program history that a Bison Wrestler has secured the Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honor multiple times in the same season or in a career. Wasley became the 10^th Bison to win Big 12 Wrestler of the Week earlier this season on January 21 after his performance in the Davidson Duals that included a win over #10 Dillon Bechtold of Bucknell.
 
Wasley and the Bison will be back in action on next week as NDSU travels to Tulsa, Oklahoma and the BOK Center for the Big 12 Wrestling Championships March 6-7.
