Distance Runners Crack NDSU Top 10 at Oregon State Friday

The North Dakota State women's track & field team competed at a pair of meets on Friday, and two Bison distance runners posted times that rank them among the top 10 in school history.
At the Oregon State High Performance Meet in Corvallis, Ore., freshman Kylie Nelson ran a personal-best 10:49.90 in the 3000m steeplechase to place third in the meet and move up to ninth-fastest in school history.
Jade Rypkema ran 16:51.49 in the 5000m to move up to 10th on the NDSU all-time list.
At the SMU Invitational in Dallas, Bison sophomore Paige Renschler won the 200m dash in 23.40. Elise Wisnewski was fourth in 23.97.
Junior Arienne Birch won the high jump at SMU, clearing 5-08.50 (1.74m).
Bison alum Grace Emineth won the long jump with a leap of 20-07.75 (6.29m). Grace VanErp was sixth at 18-10.50 (5.75m).
Adison Kapitzke placed third in the hammer throw at Oregon State with a mark of 179-5 (54.69m). Ashley Rusthoven threw a personal-best 165-9 (50.54m) for fourth place.
