HIGH SCHOOL: Posted a 5-5 record and 1.55 ERA with 94 strikeouts and only 17 walks in 69.0 innings pitched as a senior at Wisconsin Lutheran High School ... Two-time all-conference first team honoree ... Compiled a 1.30 ERA with eight complete games in 12 starts to go along with 74 strikeouts in 64.2 innings of work as a junior ... Also played football and basketball for Wisconsin Lutheran ... Was part of teh 2014 Wisconsin Lutheran state championship basketball team and was the quarterback for the number one-ranked football team in Wisconsin Division 3. 

PERSONAL: Son of Michael and Lisa McShane ... Has one brother, Nolen ... Plans to major in exercise science at NDSU.
