Biography
2005 Season (Junior): On the field leader who was a key member of a defense which posted a 0.81 goals against average with eight shutouts in 11 victories... Had one assist versus Northern Colorado (10/14)... Fired a shot in three matches... Named Division I all-independent honorable mention... Named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American third team and the Division I all-academic first team.
2004 Season (Sophomore): One of four players to start all 17 games for the Bison... Put more than half of her shots on net for the season with her lone score coming on a game-winning goal against South Dakota State... Had an assist in a pair of 2-1 victories, the first against Drury and the second versus Northern Iowa.
2003 Season (Freshman): Helped the Bison defense post a 0.97 goals-against average... Scored one goal and tallied two assists, starting all 16 games... Fired 23 shots, putting nine on goal.
High School: A 2003 graduate of Lakeville High School (Minn.) where she was a captain and four-year starter in soccer... Played club soccer for Tsunami Sota... Also competed in nordic skiing, where she was the team MVP and was selected to the all-state and all-conference teams... Member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Daughter of Kevin and Phyllis Panzer... Has two brothers, Jacob and Zachary, and one sister, Katie... Her hobbies include playing the piano, reading and mountain biking... Has met U.S. men’s soccer star DeMarcus Beasley... Member of the NDSU Pep Band in 2004... Majoring in electrical engineering... Member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and Engineers in Biology and Medicine (EMBS)... Recipient of the Presidential Honor Scholarship... Future plans include graduate school, the Peace Corps and a career working in renewable energy.
