2017-18 SEASON (Freshman): NCAA qualifier at 125 pounds … Went 0-2 at the NCAA tournament … Place 7th at the Big 12 Conference Championship and advanced to the NCAA tournament with a 9-4 decision over Fresno State’s Sean Williams … Compiled 24-15 record overall including 10-7 in duals (3-5 Big 12) with seven major decisions, six pins and a tech fall … NWCA All-Academic Team selection … Named to Academic All-Big 12 Conference first team … Placed third at the Bison Open (11-11-17) with a 3-1 record including a pin and major decision … Went 4-2 at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (12-1/2-17), picking up 11-5 decision over nationally-ranked Dalton Macri of North Carolina … Had 5-1 record at Reno Tournament of Champions with three major decisions and a pair of pins … Placed third at the UWW Junior Nationals in the 57 KG/125.6 pounds freestyle bracket with a 6-1 record.
