Border States congratulates Bailey Retzlaff, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Retzlaff, a senior thrower from Carrington, N.D., has a 3.61 GPA in agriculture education. She ranks No. 1 in the NCAA this season in the shot put after throwing an NDSU record 55-07.00 (16.94m) to win the event at the Dakota Classic. Retzlaff broke Courtney Pasiowitz's 2016 school record by 17 inches.
Retzlaff also moved up to No. 3 in NDSU history in the weight throw with a huge personal-best of 66-01.50 (20.15m) to add nearly three feet to her previous best mark.
