Border States congratulates Alex Talley, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Talley, a sophomore from West Fargo, N.D., has a 3.538 GPA with a major in civil engineering. He posted personal-best and nationally ranked performances in both throwing events at the Bison Team Cup on Saturday. Talley took first in the weight throw, launching a personal-best 67-09.75 (20.67m) that ranks second in NDSU history and No. 13 in the NCAA this year. His throw of 60-10.00 (18.54m) in the shot put ranks 24th in the NCAA.
