Border States congratulates KK Leddy, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Leddy, a senior from Middleburg, Fla., has a 3.530 GPA in journalism. She was named the Summit League Pitcher of the Week after compiling a 1-2 record with one shutout and 2.33 earned run average. She struck out 14 and walked seven in 18 innings pitched. Opponents hit only .239 with 17 hits and six earned runs. Leddy was also named to the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge Session 2 all-tournament team.
Leddy recorded her eighth career shutout with a 4-0 win over Northern Colorado (2-14-19). She need only 77 pitches, allowing three hits, striking out seven and walking one. One of her losses was the 5-3 decision to No. 5-ranked Washington (2-15-19).
