Border States congratulates Jalen Bussey, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.

Bussey, a freshman from Brandon, Fla., is majoring in sport management. He was named Missouri Valley Football Conference Newcomer of the Week after running for a team-high 173 all-purpose yards in his first collegiate game as North Dakota State beat Western Illinois 57-21 in the Harvest Bowl. Bussey entered the game in the fourth quarter, and his first attempt was a 65-yard touchdown run. He later added a 50-yard kickoff return and 45-yard touchdown run on consecutive plays and finished with six rushes for 123 yards and two TDs.
