Border States congratulates Van Holmgren, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Holmgren, a freshman from Plymouth, Minn., tied for fifth with a 54-hole 3-over par 219 (75-71-73), leading the North Dakota State University men's golf team to the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational team title at Seven Oaks Golf Club Sunday, Sept. 10. Holmgren posted a 3.52 high school GPA and is majoring in business at NDSU.
