Border States congratulates Alex Talley, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Talley, a redshirt freshman from West Fargo, N.D., threw a personal-best 63 feet, 8.25 inches (19.41m) in the weight throw to tie for No. 5 on the NDSU all-time list at the Jim Emmerich Invitational on Saturday afternoon. It was an improvement of more than 3 feet for the West Fargo product. Talley has a 3.688 GPA in civil engineering.
