TULSA, Okla. - Player of the Year Jared Schlehuber hit a two-run homer to lead top-seeded Oral Roberts to a 4-3 win over No. 3 seed North Dakota State in the Summit League championship game Saturday, May 26, at J.L. Johnson Stadium.

Tournament MVP Drew Bowen pitched the final 2 1/3 scoreless innings for the save. It was the 15th straight tournament win for Oral Roberts (37-23), which earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

Bowen, who pitched eight innings for a win in Thursday's first round, came on to get a strikeout and strand two runners in scoring position in the seventh after NDSU (40-20) pulled within 4-3.

North Dakota State jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning when Tim Colwell and Wes Satzinger both singled and scored on Nick Anderson's two-out double to right field.

The Bison left runners on the corners in the first, went down in order in the second, and put men on base in every inning the rest of the way. Colwell singled and scored on a wild pitch in the seven for the only other run.

ORU trailed 2-0 until the fifth when a leadoff single by Nate Goro and a walk to Logan Domenico set up a two-run single by Cam Schiller.

Jose Trevino legged out a potential inning-ending ground ball double play on the next at-bat, and Schlehuber homered to left on the next play for a 4-2 ORU lead.

Satzinger finished 3-for-5 and Colwell was 2-for-5. NDSU starter Zach Wentz (2-6) allowed four runs on five hits with four walks and no strikeouts in the loss.

Schlehuber was 3-for-3 for ORU. Joe Spring (6-2) came on in relief to face NDSU's seventh batter in the first inning, and Spring pitched six innings with three strikeouts, no walks and six hits to get the win.
