The North Dakota State University women's and men's track & field teams will open the 2014 outdoor season by competing in the Baldy Castillo Invitational hosted by Arizona State University this weekend. The meet will be held at Sun Angel Stadium in Tempe, Ariz., on Friday, March 21, and Saturday March 22.
The meet will get started with the men's hammer throw at 1 p.m. local/3 p.m. (CT) on Friday, with the women's hammer throw to follow. All other NDSU entries will compete on Saturday, with running events scheduled to start at 1 p.m. local/3 p.m. (CT).
The Bison men were picked to win their fifth straight Summit League outdoor team title, and the NDSU women are favored to claim a record seventh-consecutive league title.
