FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State baseball team (12-17) coasted to an 11-1 victory over the Dakota Wesleyan (21-20) Tigers Tuesday, April 22, at Newman Outdoor Field.

Wes Satzinger led all players at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and hit his 15th double of the season. Tim Colwell was 2-for-4 with two RBI and belted his fourth triple of the year while Aiden Hook went 2-for-3 with a run batted in.

On the mound, Sean Terres pitched two innings in relief for the Bison, striking out three and walking one batter on 34 pitches while allowing no runs to earn his first victory of the season and move to 1-0 overall.

Mickey Grant took the loss for Dakota Wesleyan to fall to 1-2 overall.

NDSU began the offensive outburst early, plating a pair of runs in the first inning on a Satzinger single and a Tiger throwing error.

DWU scored in the top of the second to cut the Bison lead to 2-1, but NDSU scored another run in the bottom-half of the inning on a Hook single to push their lead to 3-1.

NDSU put the game out of reach in the fourth and fifth innings after plating three runs in the fourth and four in the fifth to open up a 10-1 advantage. Blake Turbak singled, driving in a pair of runs, and Kyle Kleinendorst added another RBI single in the fourth before Colwell hit a line-drive, two RBI triple to left field and Satzinger added a two RBI double to left in the fifth inning.

The Bison added one more run in the eighth on a Ben Petersen RBI single.

With the win, NDSU improves to 12-17 overall.

The Bison are scheduled to return to Summit League action Friday, April 25 through Sunday, April 27, when they travel to Omaha, Neb., for a four-game series against the Omaha Mavericks.
