Bison Track & Field Adds UND Indoor Tune-Up to Schedule

The North Dakota State University track & field teams will send partial squads to compete at the UND Indoor Tune-Up in Grand Forks, N.D., on Saturday, Feb. 18. The meet begins with the women's weight throw and long jump at 10 a.m. inside the UND High Performance Center. Running events are scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. and conclude by 5 p.m.
The meet will serve as the final tune-up for the Bison before the Summit League Indoor Championships to be held Feb. 24-25 in Brookings, S.D.
The Bison women currently lead The Summit League in seven events. NDSU has the top four runners in the league in the 400m dash and five of the top six performers in the weight throw this season.
The Bison men also top the Summit League performance lists in seven events this season, including the top four men in the league in both the heptathlon and weight throw.
The NDSU women are ranked seventh in the Midwest Region in the latest USTFCCCA regional team rankings, and NDSU is ranked 10th on the men's side. The Bison are No. 1 in the country in the women's and men's weight throw in the USTFCCCA event squad rankings.
