NDSU Track & Field Travels to UC Riverside Spring Track Classic

The North Dakota State University men's and women's track & field teams will travel to Riverside, Calif., this week to compete at the UC Riverside Spring Track Classic from March 23-25. Ten teams are scheduled to compete at the meet as the Bison continue their transition into the outdoor season.
UC Riverside will host Azusa Pacific, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, North Dakota State, Southern Utah, UC Irvine, Utah, Utah Valley and Wisconsin.
The decathlon and heptathlon begin on Thursday, March 23, with the decathlon beginning at 1 p.m. CT and the heptathlon starting at 2 p.m. CT. The second day of the decathlon gets underway on Friday, March 24, at 1 p.m., with the heptathlon set to resume at 2 p.m. Also slated for Friday are the women's and men's hammer throw beginning at 5 p.m. CT.
On Saturday, March 25, the field events begin at noon CT with the women's shot put, women's pole vault and men's javelin, while the track events start at 3 p.m. with the women's steeplechase. The last event of the day is the men's 4x400m relay scheduled for 8 p.m. CT.
A group of NDSU student-athletes made their 2017 outdoor debuts at Arizona State on March 17-18, where the Bison throwers posted 10 marks that rank in the nation's top 25 this season.
The NDSU women have won nine straight Summit League outdoor team championships, while the Bison men have won seven consecutive team titles and eight in the last nine years.
