Levin, Milbrath Wins Highlight First Day at Stanford Invitational

FARGO, N.D. - Amanda Levin won the long jump and Morgan Milbrath won the 400-meter hurdles to highlight the first day of competition for the North Dakota State women's track and field team Friday, March 31, in a pair of west coast meets.
Levin, a junior from West Fargo, N.D., posted an outdoor personal best of 19 feet, one-half inch (5.80m) and Milbrath, a senior from Minot, N.D., ran a time of 1:00.90 to win the 400 hurdles at the Stanford Invitational.
Junior Alyssa Olin from Mott, N.D., improved on her No. 2 school ranking in the javelin throw with a mark of 160 feet, 8 inches (48.97m) which was good for second place at Stanford.
Willmar, Minn., product Rose Jackson ran a personal-best 1:02.24 for sixth place in the 400 hurdles, and Moorhead's Taylor Janssen jumped to fourth on the school outdoor list in the steeplechase with a time of 10:28.08.
At the San Francisco State Distance Carnival, sophomore Kayla Huhnerkoch from Redwood Falls, Minn., cracked the Bison top 10 list in the 1,500-meter run with a ninth-place time of 4:31.36.
