The North Dakota State women's and men's track & field teams will travel to Des Moines, Iowa, this weekend to compete in the Drake Relays on Friday, Apr. 28, and Saturday, Apr. 29, at Drake Stadium.
The Drake Relays will feature some of the nation's top track & field competition this weekend, as well as providing the Bison an opportunity to run relay events such as the 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m, 1600m medley, distance medley and shuttle hurdle relays.
A group of Bison athletes will also compete at the Kip Janvrin Open hosted by Simpson College in nearby Indianola, Iowa, on Friday.
NDSU will get started at Drake at 10 a.m. on Friday with the men's javelin and women's long jump competitions.
The NDSU women are ranked sixth as a team in the Midwest Region in the latest USTFCCCA rankings, and the Bison men are No. 7 in the Midwest.
The Bison will return home to host the NDSU Tune-Up on Friday, May 5 – the final regular-season meet before NDSU hosts the Summit League Outdoor Championships on May 11-13 in Fargo.
