Bison Men’s Track & Field Travels to Nebraska’s Husker Spring Invite Saturday

The North Dakota State University men's track & field team will travel to the Husker Spring Invite in Lincoln, Neb., on Saturday for a four-team meet featuring the Bison, Northern Iowa, UMKC and host Nebraska.
The meet is scheduled to begin with the women's hammer throw at 9 a.m., and running events will start with the 4x100m relay at 1:30 p.m.
The NDSU men are currently ranked fourth in the Midwest Region by the USTFCCCA. Nebraska is No. 2, and Northern Iowa is No. 15 in the regional rankings.
The Bison men have 12 performances that rank among the NCAA's top 50 early this outdoor season, led by senior throwers Matti Mortimore (No. 2 in the javelin) and Alex Renner (No. 9 in the shot put). Sophomore Ryan Enerson ranks 18th in the decathlon, Austin Schmidt is 20th in the javelin, and Steffan Stroh is 24th nationally in the shot put.
NDSU has Summit League leaders in seven events this season: Mortimore (javelin), Renner (shot put), Stroh (discus, hammer), Enerson (decathlon), Landon Jochim (400m) and the 4x400m relay.
