Bison Track & Field Competes at Drake Relays this Weekend

The North Dakota State men's and women's track & field teams will travel to Des Moines, Iowa, this weekend to compete in the Drake Relays. Competition opens late in the afternoon on Thursday, Apr. 26, with several mid-distance and distance races, while the full schedule of events gets started on Friday and Saturday.
The Bison will get started at Drake at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with the 800 meters, and 10 a.m. on Friday with the men's javelin and women's long jump competitions.
The Drake Relays will feature some of the nation's top track & field competition this weekend, as well as providing the Bison an opportunity to run relay events such as the 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m, 1600m medley, distance medley and shuttle hurdle relays.
The NDSU women are ranked eighth as a team in the Midwest Region in the latest USTFCCCA rankings, and the Bison men are No. 10 in the Midwest.
On Saturday, a group of Bison athletes will also compete at the Ron Masanz Classic hosted by MSU Moorhead.
