GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Led by a runner-up finish from junior
Alex Bartholomay, the North Dakota State men's cross country team claimed its eighth consecutive team title at the UND Ron Pynn Classic on Saturday afternoon.
NDSU topped the 10-team field with 34 points. South Dakota State finished second with 56, and U-Mary was third with 91.
Bartholomay finished second in the race, crossing the line in 26:13.1 to pace the Bison. Junior
Tim Heikkila placed fifth in 26:24.8, and freshman
Isaac Huber was close behind in 26:28.3 for sixth place.

Keiser Freetly finished ninth in 26:40.7, and freshman
Payton Smith completed the Bison team scoring in 12th place with a time of 26:49.8.

Josh Samyn took 21st place in 27:14.5
Saturday's meet served as the final tune-up for the Summit League Championships, which will be held on Nov. 2 in Fargo at Rose Creek Golf Course.
