NDSU Volleyball Announces Pair of Additions

FARGO, N.D. -- North Dakota State University head volleyball coach Jennifer Lopez announced Wednesday, Nov. 13, the addition of 6-foot outside hitter Ali Hinze (Maple Grove, Minn. / Osseo H.S.) and 5-6 libero Taylor Quan (Brooklyn Park, Minn. / Osseo H.S.), who will be joining the volleyball program in the fall of 2020.

HIGH SCHOOL:.Started at outside hitter and libero during prep career at Osseo and Maple Grove High School … Sidelined by injury her junior year, but came back strong senior season … Hit .332 with 401 kills, 270 digs, 34 aces and 29 blocks in 84 sets … Two-time all-conference, second team All-Metro … 2019 Under Armour All-American Watch List … Finished with 430 digs and 63 assists in 88 sets as a libero as sophomore … Entered that season on AVCA Phenom and Prep Volleyball Class of 2020 Watch Lists … Teammates with Taylor Quan for eight years … Also played basketball … Played club volleyball for Minnesota Select.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Julie and Allen Hinze … Has one sister, Paige, who plays volleyball at Minnesota-Morris … Father, Allen, played football at Bemidji State.

HIGH SCHOOL:.Three-time all-conference libero for Osseo High School and head coach Mandi Burian … Reached 1,000 career digs during senior season and had 1,290 … Collected 163 set assists and 114 service aces … Teammates with Ali Hinze for eight years … Played club volleyball for Minnesota Select.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Jennifer and William Quan … Has one brother, Brady.
 
North Dakota State (12-15, 7-8 Summit League) closes out the regular season against Oral Roberts (7-21, 3-11 SL) at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse. The Summit League tournament is scheduled for Nov. 22-24 at Denver.
