Levin has 3,349 points after Day 1 of the heptathlon – 127 points better than her previous first-day best. The final three events (long jump, javelin and 800m) will be completed on Thursday.
The West Fargo native opened with a career-best time of 14.53 seconds in the 100m hurdles – just her second time ever under 15 seconds. She cleared 5-04.50 (1.64m) in the high jump and threw 42-10.75 (13.07m) in the shot put before closing the day with a lifetime-best clocking of 24.54 in the 200m dash.
Levin already ranks third all-time at NDSU in the heptathlon after scoring 5,469 points at the Texas Relays in March.
