DeMar Leaps Up NDSU Record Books at Long Beach State

LONG BEACH, Calif. – North Dakota State junior Bailey DeMar climbed the Bison women's track & field record books in a pair of events Saturday at the Beach Invitational.
DeMar (Bethel, Minn.) now ranks fifth all-time at NDSU in the triple jump, leaping 41-08.75 (12.72m) to stand in the top 50 of the NCAA performance list this season. DeMar also had a career-best long jump mark of 19-10.25 (6.05m) to tie for ninth all-time at NDSU.
Akealy Moton (fourth) and Bailey Retzlaff (eighth) both earned top-10 finishes in a loaded shot put field. Moton posted a throw of 55-04.25 (16.87m), and Retzlaff threw 53-01.50 (16.19m).
Freshman Jodi Lipp (St. Cloud, Minn.) topped 39 feet in the triple jump again, going 39-01.25 (11.92m). She also recorded a mark of 18-10.75 (5.76m) in the long jump.
Sophomore Jenna Kes clocked a big personal-best of 1:03.54 in the 400m hurdles to rank No. 4 on the Summit League performance list this season.
Junior Klara Lyon placed 10th in the pole vault, clearing 12-10.00 (3.91m).
Bison sophomore Amanda Anderson was 17th in the discus with a throw of 171-0 (52.12m).
Sophomore Alyssa Lind was the top Bison finisher in the 400m dash at the Beach Invitational in 55.76. Katie Bostrom (2:14.34) was the top finisher for the Bison in the 800m.
Paige Harris, Gracie Wright, Grace Zimmerman and Lind teamed up to run a season-best 3:48.02 in the 4x400m relay.
