MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – A pair of small-town North Dakota natives turned in impressive performances for the North Dakota State men's track & field team at Minnesota's Jack Johnson Classic on Saturday.

Junior
Alex Bartholomay (Bowman, N.D.) was the top collegiate finisher in the mile, running a personal-best 4:07.73. He now ranks fifth-fastest in NDSU history, and based on times entering this weekend, Bartholomay stands 30th in the NCAA this season.

Jacob Rodin (Kenmare, N.D.) won the 800m in a personal-best and Summit League-leading time of 1:52.19.

Bison senior
Michael Keogan was the runner-up in the weight throw, posting a personal-best 68-06.50 (20.89m) that ranks him fourth in NDSU history. He stands at No. 20 in the NCAA this season. Freshman
Maxwell Otterdahl now ranks eighth in NDSU history in the weight throw after launching a toss of 64-08.75 (19.73m).

Elliott Stone won the 3,000m title in 8:26.39. Freshman
Isaac Huber finished fifth with a time of 8:32.06.

Connor Wendel (Carrington, N.D.) won the 600m, running 1:22.91.

Kristoffer Thomsen (61-02.25 / 18.65m) and freshman
Maxwell Otterdahl (60-00.25 / 18.29m) finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in a loaded shot put competition.

Payton Otterdahl, now competing for Nike, threw 68-11.25 (21.01m) to win the shot put on Saturday – setting a new Jack Johnson Classic meet record and Minnesota Fieldhouse record.

Cody Roder earned a runner-up finish in the 400m dash, running 50.23.

Trent Davis took third in the 60m hurdles in a season-best 8.22 seconds. Senior
Guillaume Viault clocked a season-best of 6.91 seconds in the 60m dash.

Josh Samyn clocked a personal-best 4:14.74 in the mile for eighth place.

Josh Darwin all cleared 6-foot-7 (2.00m) in the high jump, finishing sixth, seventh, and eighth in the meet.
