Baragar-Petrash Races to 10th in NCAA 3,000m

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – North Dakota State senior distance runner Jennie Baragar-Petrash turned in the race of a lifetime on Saturday night, finishing 10th in the 3,000 meters at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Baragar-Petrash clocked a career-best 9:10.51 for the 3,000m, trimming nearly seven seconds off her previous best time. Her 10th-place finish was a significant improvement over her No. 15 ranking entering the meet, and it earned her second-team All-America honors.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba, native ranks second in NDSU history for the 3,000m, trailing only fellow Winnipegger and 7-time All-American Erin Teschuk.
Baragar-Petrash is the fourth Bison woman since 2015 to earn NCAA All-America honors under NDSU distance coach Andrew Carlson.
