FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State sophomore
Akealy Moton tacked a foot onto her outdoor school record in the shot put, headlining the efforts of the Bison women's track & field team at the NDSU Spring Classic on Friday.

Moton threw 58-04.50 (17.79m) to win the shot put, moving into the NCAA lead briefly for the outdoor season before being bumped to No. 2 on the national performance list. She extended her school record for the second straight week – this time by nearly 13 inches.

Moton also threw 160-9 (49.01m) in the javelin, moving to No. 32 on the NCAA performance list in her season debut for the event.

Bison junior
Kari Wolfe threw a personal-best 174-0 (53.05m) to win the javelin, climbing to No. 8 in the nation this season.

Tasha Willing moved up to sixth on the NDSU all-time list in the outdoor shot put, throwing 52-1 (15.87m) to rank among the top 40 in the NCAA this season.

Kendra Kelley won the 100m dash in 11.81, ranking fifth in NDSU history.

Michaela Hawkins threw 162-9 (49.61m) in the discus, moving up to No. 5 on the NDSU all-time list.

Ansley Schug won the 100m hurdles in a personal-best 14.14, and later ran a PR of 1:03.91 for second place in the 400m hurdles.

Alissa Melvin won the triple jump with a mark of 37-10.75 (11.55m) – the best of her collegiate career.
