DES MOINES, Iowa – North Dakota State senior
Alex Bartholomay moved up to fifth on the school's all-time list in the 3,000m steeplechase, headlining the performances of the Bison men's distance runners on the opening night of the Drake Relays.
Bartholomay (Bowman, N.D.) cut more than 10 seconds off his previous best in the steeplechase, running 8:58.77 to rank fifth-fastest in NDSU history.

Keiser Freetly ran a career-best 1:52.40 in the 800m, and Bison junior
Kurt TeBeest clocked an outdoor 800m personal-best of 1:54.47.
Senior
Elliott Stone added a season-best 5,000m time of 14:58.77.
Thursday's collegiate competition was limited to the distance events on the track. The majority of NDSU's entries at the Drake Relays will compete on Friday and Saturday.
