WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – The North Dakota State baseball team erupted for six runs in the eighth inning to top Maine, 9-4, on Friday afternoon at the Russmatt Central Florida Invitational at Chain of Lakes Stadium.
After both teams found themselves deadlocked in the fifth ining, 3-3, Maine (2-8) grabbed its first lead of the day after Jeremiah Jenkins used a sacrifice fly to score Quinn McDaniel to make the score 4-3 in the seventh. The Bison (7-6) quickly answered back in the eighth inning after

Druw Sackett kept the big inning going for NDSU sending a single into right field to score
Charley Hesse to steal the lead, 5-4. After Sackett scored following a walk,
Carson Hake came up with a bases clearing three RBI double into center field to seal the 9-4 victory.
NDSU totaled 12 hits as a team with
Cadyn Schwabe notching a team-high three with two runs.
Max Loven made his fourth start of the season firing three strikeouts over 5.2 innings. He increased his career strikeout total to 159, which ranks tied for 10th on the NDSU all-time strikeouts list.
Tristen Roehrich earned his first win of the season going the final 3.1 innings on the hill with three strikeouts.
The Bison will continue their three-game against Maine tomorrow. First pitch is set for 11:00 a.m. CT
