RALEIGH, N.C. – North Dakota State All-American
Kari Wolfe took third place in the javelin at the Raleigh Relays on Thursday to open the 2022 outdoor season for the Bison women's track & field team.

Wolfe threw 170-11 (52.11m) to place third in her season opener. The Harvey, N.D., native earned first-team All-America honors last season, finishing fifth in the javelin at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Hayley Schmidt took 13th in the javelin with a throw of 139-4 (42.46m). Freshman
Taylor Leingang was 20th at 129-9 (39.54m) in her Bison debut.

Senior
Amanda Anderson was the top NDSU finisher in the shot put, throwing 47-05.75 (14.47m) for 14th place.

The Bison will continue competing on Friday and Saturday, with the throwers at North Carolina State and the jumpers and multi-event athletes at Black Hills State in Spearfish, S.D.
