North Dakota State Sending Nine Women’s Entries to NCAA West Prelims

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team will have nine entries at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds, scheduled for May 25-28 in Fayetteville, Ark.
Eight different Bison women will compete, with senior thrower Amanda Anderson entered in both the discus and shot put.
The NCAA announced the top 48 declared entries in all individual events and the top 24 relay teams in each region on Thursday. The top 12 finishers in each event at the Preliminary Rounds will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., on June 8-11.
NDSU has three women in prime position to earn tickets to Eugene, with Kari Wolfe (javelin), Amy Phillips (hammer throw), and Amanda Anderson (discus) all ranked seventh in the West entering the meet.
Senior Kelby Anderson – ranked 19th in the West for the 5,000m – joins the three throwers in the top 20 entering the meet. The Bison also qualified four jumpers to Fayetteville – Grace Emineth, Alissa Melvin, Jodi Lipp, and Daejha Moss.
