NDSU’s Wilkinson Named TicketSmarter Summit League Defensive Peak Performer of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State soccer's Abby Wilkinson has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Women's Soccer Defensive Peak Performer of the Week, announced league officials on Monday.

Wilkinson had a career night in Moscow, Idaho on Friday, as she made 10 saves en route to a shutout, as she led the Bison in a 0-0 tie against the Vandals.

The 10 saves for Wilkinson set a new career high, breaking her previous mark of eight set last season. It was also Wilkinson's second consecutive shutout, as the junior has not allowed a goal in over 236 minutes between the sticks.

The honor is Wilkinson's first and is the second for the Bison in as many weeks, as defender Ashleigh Heely scooped up the Defensive Peak Performer of the Week honor last week.

Wilkinson and the rest of the Bison will be back in action on Friday with a trip to Denver to open up Summit League play.
