COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA – Oral Roberts sent across four runs in the 13th inning to steal an 8-4 win over the North Dakota State baseball team at Doc Ross Field on Sunday afternoon in the series finale.

James Dunlap got the Bison (11-26, 7-5 Summit) off to a fast start with a three-run home run in the first inning to make the score 3-0. Oral Roberts (29-11, 14-1 Summit) responded with a three-run home run of its own in the third frame off the bat of Blaze Brothers to lock the contest, 3-3.

The game went scoreless for three frames until Druw Sackett blasted a solo home run of his own to regain the lead, 4-3. The Golden Eagles worked their way back to tie the contest, 4-4, in the eighth following an RBI ground out from Justin Quinn.

Both teams then settled in battling through four scoreless innings before Oral Roberts scored four runs on four hits, including two home runs to capture the lead, 8-4, in the 13th inning. The Bison couldn't get anything going in the bottom half and went on to drop the contest, 8-4.

Parker Puetz made the start on the mound going a season-high 7.0 innings with a season-best seven strikeouts to go along with four hits, three runs and one walk. Joey Danielson (1-3) picked up the loss going a career-high 3.2 innings in relief with two strikeouts.

The Bison connected on eight hits as a team with six different players connecting on one. Dunlap paced NDSU with a team-best three RBI, two hits and one run.

NDSU will be back in action on Tuesday night at Minnesota. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m.
