SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State's Kelsey Kallio was named the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Women's Soccer Co-Offensive Peak Performer of the Week, alongside Omaha's Sophia Green, league officials announced on Monday, Sept. 25.
 
Kallio snapped a scoreless streak that dated back to last season with goals in a pair of draws for the Bison. Against Kansas City, the Andover, Minn., native came off the bench and headed in a corner kick in her very first play in the 31st minute to give the Bison the lead in an eventual 1-1 tie.
 
In the following match against Omaha, Kallio added another header goal as she connected on a cross from Olivia Watson in the 24th minute to give NDSU a 2-1 lead in an eventual 2-2 tie. Her goals were the fifth and sixth of her career.
 
This is the first career Summit League weekly award for Kallio and also the first for the Bison this season.
 
Kallio and the rest of the Herd return to action on Thursday, taking on South Dakota State in Brookings.
