NDSU Women Wrap Day 2 at Southern California Meets

The North Dakota State women's track & field team competed in the throws and distance events at a pair of meets in southern California on Friday.

NDSU senior Lexi Maples followed up her breakthrough hammer performance on Thursday by throwing 208-2 (63.46m) on Friday, taking fourth place at the Beach Invitational. Sophomore Annabel Thorstenson set a new hammer throw personal-best of 182-5 (55.60m) at the meet.

Sophomore Alex Seagris threw 152-2 (46.40m) in the javelin for 15th place at the Beach Invitational.

At the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., NDSU freshman Logan Harz ran a 5,000m personal-best of 16:53.61 to rank 11th-fastest in NDSU history.

Reagan Baesler clocked the third-fastest 5,000m of her career, running 16:53.17, and Hope Pringle clocked an outdoor 5,000m PR of 17:25.84.

NDSU had three women run 2:11 in the 800m on Friday. Sophomore Kate LeBlanc ran the second-fastest 800m of her career, finishing in 2:11.24. Grace Link clocked 2:11.33, and Brita Birkeland ran 2:11.42.
