Bison Men in Search of 14th Straight Summit League Outdoor Title

5/8/2024 2:56:00 PM

The North Dakota State men's track & field team will put its streak of 13 consecutive Summit League outdoor team championships on the line this week in St. Paul, Minn., where the University of St. Thomas hosts the Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 9-11.

The Bison men have won 14 of the 15 outdoor team trophies since joining the league. NDSU won the crown in its first shot in 2008, and then again each year from 2010-23 (excluding the canceled meet in 2020).

Based on the league performance lists entering the meet, the javelin, 110m hurdles, and 400m hurdles project to be some of the highest-scoring events for the Bison men. NDSU will attempt to overcome graduating six event champions from last year's Outdoor Championships.

NDSU's current run of 13 consecutive outdoor team titles is an all-time Summit League record.
