NDSU Baseball Blanks Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in Exhibition Play, 5-0

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State baseball team blanked the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in exhibition play on Wednesday night at Newman Outdoor Field.

After two scoreless frames, the Bison got the board in the third inning after Kyle Law was hit by a pitch to score Tommy Simon and Chase Womack lifted an RBI sacrifice fly to center field to make the score 2-0. NDSU then plated two more runs in the fifth following an RBI triple from Colten Becker to deep center field and Womack connected on an RBI single to left field to push the edge to 4-0. The Bison put the game out reach in the sixth after Becker picked up a bases-loaded walk to seal the 5-0 win.

NDSU will be back in action with a three-game series against Northern Colorado beginning on Friday. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m., at Newman Outdoor Field.
